What a busy few weeks we have had back at school.  All of the children have settled in really well to Primary 4 and Mrs Rennie and I are very excited about the year ahead.

Thank you to all of the parents for covering the children’s homework book and completing all of the little tasks sent home in the first week.

The first few weeks have been focusing on getting to know the children and everyone has come in enthusiastic and eager to learn.  On Thursday, children were working with a friend to highlight each other’s skills and talents to help complete the activity ‘My gift to the class’.  They were super at telling each other what they are good at or why they are a good friend.

It was a lovely morning on Thursday and we went outside to work up a sweat before lunch. We have some super keen runners which is fantastic!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Library will be every Friday, it would be really helpful if parents could encourage children to remember to bring their books with them. We have a lovely library and children enjoy the time in there looking at all of the different books.

Some of the pupils might have mentioned getting table points in class. This links with the ‘Golden Rules’ that children should be following and they are rewarded with a point for their table. These are totalled on a Friday and also links with the allocation of Golden Time activities. All of the children have been really motivated by this and are keen to earn points for their table.

Maths, literacy or topic homework – out on a Thursday to be returned the following Tuesday

Reading homework – novels and tasks out on a Monday to be completed and returned 3 weeks later (unless stated otherwise)
