Well done to Callum
our
‘Pupil of the Week‘
Callum worked very hard in maths. He completed all his tasks and volunteered answers during discussions.
We are very proud of him!
There was great excitement in Room 3 yesterday as we were planting sunflower seeds. We also wrote instructions on how to plant a sunflower.
We are going to take good care of our sunflower plants. We can’t wait to come back next week and check to see if there are any changes. I wonder which sunflower will grow the tallest!
We are busy being scientists in room 3 this afternoon!
We are experimenting with flowers.
We are discussing what’s flowers need to grow and how we can change them.
As you may have heard, this term we are going to be learning all about gardens and parks for our topic. The boys and girls have shared a number of tales of their own experiences already!
It would be wonderful if you could send in any pictures of your child playing in a garden or park for us to create a display (their idea!)
We are planning to get out and about as much as possible this term so if you would like to help out then please let us know!
We were all very sad to say Goodbye to Mrs Fyfe at the end of term. We have all loved working with Mrs Fyfe in Primary 2 this year and we wish her lots of luck in her new teaching role. We are sure she will keep in touch and pop back to see us at some point.
We are now looking forward to welcoming Mrs Douglas into P2 for our final term. Mrs Douglas will be in class on a Monday, Tuesday and alternate Fridays. We also welcome back Miss Blair for the first 4 weeks of term. We are all looking forward to a busy and exciting term ahead in Room 3!
We had lots of fun during the final week of last term exploring 2D and 3D shapes through a variety of different activities. We worked cooperatively in pairs and small groups to sort and identify shapes, make models and describe some basic properties of shapes. Our feely bag activity was a top favourite and we loved creating our 2D Shape Monsters!
