Congratulations to our Pupil of the Week – Amy! Amy was chosen to be our Star this week because she goes out of her way to be a kind friend to others. She comforts and cares for her friends on the playground and tries to cheer up those who are feeling blue. Way to go, Amy!

Christmas Enterprise

It has been a hive of activity in Room 3 the last week or so as we have been hard at work on our Christmas Enterprise Initiative. The boys and girls have made beautiful Christmas tree decorations using Hama Beads. They have put a great deal of thought and effort into their designs and we are all extremely proud of the finished products!

We will be selling our lovely tree decorations at our Open Afternoon tomorrow 3pm-4pm so bring along some pennies!!

Times Table Champs!

The P3 boys and girls have been working hard in Maths the last few weeks learning their 2 times and 10 times multiplication facts. We are about to start working on our 5 times table next! We have been doing lots of practical and game based learning. ‘Hit the Button’ is a top favourite game in class and if the children haven’t mentioned it yet, here is a link so that you can try it out at home. Have Fun!!

Oreo Moon Phases

We all had lots of fun in Room 3 on Thursday learning about the different phases of the moon. We worked cooperatively in groups to create the phases of the moon using Oreo cookies! The task took a lot of careful concentration, patience and teamwork!  We all loved this task – especially when we got to eat the leftover Oreo cookies at the end!

Halloween Assembly

On Friday 28th October, the children in room 3 presented an assembly for the whole school! We explained the history of Halloween and how some traditions started. We also shared some important safety tips so that everyone could have a safe Halloween. The girls and boys also performed a song called I’m a Little Pumpkin and recited a poem called Five Little Pumpkins. Well done, room 3!image
