Congratulations to Saffron on being awarded our Pupil of the Week on Friday! Saffron has been working extremely hard on her reading this term and is making great progress with confidence and fluency. It was a super week for Saffron as she also received the Playground Star Award too! What a star Saffron!! Keep up the good work!!

We were delighted to see Freya win the 2017 Friendship Award for P2/3! Freya is such a lovely, friendly pupil who is always kind and caring towards others. She thoroughly deserves her award and we are extremely proud of her! Well done Freya!!

Huge congratulations to Amy too on receiving a Head Teacher’s Award at our Achiever’s Assembly and also to Cody for being chosen as one of Mrs Brechin’s Science Super Stars!

Crathes Castle Outing

What a wonderful trip we had to Crathes Castle on Wednesday! The children enjoyed every minute of our tour around the castle and particularly loved all the ghost stories from our tour guide Charlie! The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed a picnic lunch then lots of outdoor fun.  Just a few pics of our fabulous day!!

Pupil of the Week – Friday 2nd June

Congratulations to our Pupil of the Week – Cody! Cody is such a kind and helpful boy who always works well with others during paired or group activities. We were extremely impressed with the way Cody worked with his partner this week during our Roman Shields task. He shared his ideas and listened to his partner in such a positive and mature manner. What a star Cody – Keep up the great work!

Roman Shields

Room 3 was a hive of activity at the end of last week as the children worked in pairs on our Roman Shields task. We found out lots of interesting information and  the children really enjoyed working together to design and create their own Roman Shields. Great, supportive partner work went on and the end results were pretty spectacular!!!

Roman Soldiers

The children are loving our Romans topic so far! Last week we began to learn about Roman Soldiers and did some wonderful drawings to show what Roman Soldiers wore. A small team of expert painters were also hard at work to create a giant Roman Soldier for our wall display!
