Forest fun – green and blue

We had fantastic adentures in the forest today.  The morning class were particularly interested in using string and ropes to extend their play.  Several children worked together to make a giant spider web – try having a look next time you are passing through.

We were all learning to keep ourselves safe by assessing the risk involved and thinking about how we can take risks safely.

Many of us continue to be interested in mud and minibeasts.

The afternoon class spent a long time baking, cooking and mixing with the mud.  They explored different consistencies of mud and giggled as they tried to serve their delicious ‘food’ to their friends. A few children used paintbrushes to paint the trees with mud!

The afternoon class were very resilient today- they experiences rain, snow and wind! And the vast majority were unfazed! 🙂

We all learned to follow new safety rules and managed to keep ourselves safe around the ‘fire’.  If we continue to show that we can be safe around the ‘fire’ we will light a real fire! We want to cook marshmallows and sausages!
