We continue to be very interested in ice both indoors and outdoors. This week we have been making our own ice in a variety of containers and experimenting with it in the water tray. We have been using the words ‘melt’, ‘ice’ ‘frozen’ ‘cold’ and ‘hot’ in our play. We have been finding out how we can make the ice melt quickly by adding hot or cold water, bashing it and squeezing it in our hands.
Bobby has been talking lots about ice and melting and he froze a figure at home and then melted it to let it escape again!
Liam enjoyed doing this experiment at home. He liked pouring hot water on the ice to melt it.
