The boys and girls decided that they would like to turn the role-play area into a supermarket. They have been having lots of fun exploring how shops can help us and have created their own dramatic stories. The role-play shop has naturally encouraged the development of lots of early numeracy and literacy skills with the children involved in lots of counting and writing. They even made their own signs and prices for the shop! 😀
This afternoon Dylan was enjoying playing with his toy till at home and had his little sister Mia bring items over for him to scan. He enjoys using the little tannoy system.
Liam enjoys this activity and often gets me to buy things from his pretend shop. He will even tell me how much things cost which is highly entertaining.
