Chinese New Year continued

The children have been learning about traditional Chinese customs as part of our contiuing celebrations for Chinese New Year.  They experiemented with a range of art materials to create their own chinese dragons and lanterns.  You will see these displayed next to the blue/red sign in area.

They also created a wonderful Chinese dragon dance using a gigantic chinese dragon. Unfortunately, the videos are too large to upload onto this blog.  However, you will be able to see the videos on the Interactive learning diaries when the log in details are shared next week.

  1. Harris loved doing the dragon dance and was very excited when he was showing us at home how they were dancing and he also wanted to find out what Chinese zodiac animals all his family were…… Xx

  2. Conor thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese dragon dancing and was excited to point out various Chinese new year pictures when we were in Glasgow. A good way of introducing the diverse culture that he lives in and to help him appreciate and respect other people’s beliefs.
