Travel to Tokyo Update

Team Abbotswell are smashing their Travel to Tokyo Virtual Fitness Challenge!

Last weekend, we made it to Rio and this week we have been making super progress towards our next stop which is Sydney in Australia. Only 8,515km now to Sydney!

Here are a few Team Stats…

  • We have now logged a total of 212 exercise activities!
  • Together, we have done an amazing 557 hours and 30 minutes of exercise!
  • 92% of us have really enjoyed our exercise!
  • 57% of our fitness sessions have included adults so this means lots of families and staff are getting involved too which is great!

Keep up the super work Team Abbotswell! We are now more than halfway to Tokyo!

Health and Wellbeing – Term 3 Week 6

This week Team Abbotswell set off on the Travel to Tokyo virtual distance challenge! The challenge is being run by Team GB and Paralympics GB to celebrate the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. Our challenge is to travel a distance of 47, 349 km from London to Tokyo by being active and logging our exercise activities.

We are making super progress so far and have already made it to Paris and Athens! Our next stop is Atlanta, USA! Keep up the super work Team Abbotswell!

Helping us with our challenge this week was Coach Steve from Nemesis Kickboxing who sent us videos with fantastic kickboxing fitness sessions to try. We had lots of fun trying something new and we are looking forward to weekly kickboxing sessions with Coach Steve!



Health and Wellbeing Week 4 (Term 3)

This week we were celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week.  The theme for this year was Express Yourself! We all like to express ourselves in different ways. Here is a short video to share how some of the boys and girls at Abbotswell like to express themselves!

We were also busy with all our other health and wellbeing activities this week! There was lots of outdoor exercise and fun in the snow this week as well as lots of indoor workouts, dancing and healthy sandwich making!

Health and Wellbeing – Term 3 Week 2

Another wonderful effort from Team Abbotswell with their health and wellbeing activities this week! We have been muay thai boxing, planking, star jumping, robot dancing, smoothie making and lots more! Great to see so many people exercising and enjoying the outdoors too!
