Primary 3 – Term 1

Welcome back for our third term in Primary 3.

This term we have been continuing with our Active Literacy approaches. This has involved the children working indpendently, with partners and as part of a group to complete many different activities. We will continue to have spelling lists for theĀ children to learn for homework. Reading will be heard at least twice a week but children should bring their books and homework diaries every day to allow for paired reading and reading with other adults. Please remember to sign the homework diary and children should remember to traffic light.

This term we are working on multiplication and addition and subtraction within 99. We will also been learning about fractions of shapes and creating different charts and graphs.

We are beginning this term with a mini topic about our bodies and so we will be learning about the many wonderful things our bodies can do! Later in the term we will be starting our main topic which I will keep you updated on.

Here are a few reminders:

Reading – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, but please take books every day.

Gym – Monday and Friday.

Homework – should be returned on Friday.

Please bring appropriate jacket and shoes every day for outdoor learning.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Rennie
