At assembly today we continued learning abut the right to be treated fairly. Volunteers shared who was important to them and why they were important. We also discussed what being important means; one response was it means you are loved. Basing our conversation on fairness, I showed the clip below, pausing it at relevant parts to focus our discussion on what was happening, feelings, behaviour and fairness.
The children’s responses were as fabulous as always and they were showing empathy and sympathy towards the characters. To round up our discussion, we thought about solutions for the animals and how to make it fair. Suggestions included one at a time, smallest first, biggest first, whoever goes first goes last next time. This again show the children continue to develop their understanding of the right to be treated fairly.
Stars of the Week-
Star Class were P3T. Very well done to all in P3T.
Lol…..the moral of this story…..what goes around, comes around! Don’t be mean and treat others unfairly because you can…because you can be guaranteed it will come right back round to bite you later!!
Great wee video and one the children would’ve liked. I did! Another great way of getting the children thinking and sharing there thoughts. Great to hear the answers…sounds like the children are developing their empathy and caring skills. Brilliant stuff Miss M👍🏻
