Welcome back to P2 and P3 and welcome to our new Primary 1 pupils. It was great to have our first P1 – 3 assembly together this morning , where myself and my colleagues were so impressed by all pupils following the rules and sharing well thought answers. Particularly our P1 pupils who sat beautifully and participated by offering answers and volunteering too. It’s so lovely to see.
Our assemblies this term will continue on our Rights Respecting Schools journey where we will focus more on needs and wants and relate this to our rights. Today we shared and discussed what a need is and what a want is and played a game to categorise pictures accordingly. The children got all answers correct and not only this, their explanations for their choices were fantastic. We then watched a brief clip to reinforce this.
Stars of the Week –
Star Class was P1/2. There were lots of answers volunteered from P1/2 and many of the pupils came up to help too.
Sadie had lots to tell us about assembly today. She was excited to be class of the week and helping out as the doctor.
