Today at assembly we continued to think about why our homes are special and extending this to consider what makes home special to all. I brought in items from home and explained why they are special to me and a number of children also volunteered responses to explain the items in their home that are very special. We then listened to a story called ‘No place like home’ and discussed in detail why the main character was looking for a new home but eventually decided to stay put. This was linked to Article 27 where we then discussed the concept of homes that look very different to ours but are still very special and mean a lot to the people who stay there. Next will be our last week of working on Article 27. Next term we will have a new aspect of Rights Respecting Schools to focus on.
Stars of the Week –
Star Class were P3S. Great example shown to all other classes by P3S today and many volunteering answers who don’t often speak up in assembly. Very well done.
