Room 11 had a furry visitor this morning for Mental Health Awareness Week. His name is Leo and he is a rough border collie, the class loved having him come and say hello
Star of the Week
Congratulations to Natalia for receiving Star of the Week for working extremely hard and challenging herselfย to create an excellent piece of narrative writing, keep up the fantastic work!
Science ๐งช
The class focus this term is electricity, waves and forces. We were learning about buoyancy which helped up understand why objects sink or float. We discussed density and water displacement. We made predictions and created a hypothesis. We were challenged to create a boat which floats and we saw how many marbles it could hold before it sank. We recorded our results afterwards

Visitors ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
We loved having PC Jackson for a visit to our classroom to speak about anti-social behaviour. He even let some children try on his heavy uniform and spoke about the items he is required to carry with him to keep himself safe
Robert Burns celebrations ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
Primary 6 and Primary 6/7 hosted a Robert Burns afternoon. We experienced a โtaste of Scotlandโ where we got to try lots of different types of famous Scottish foods and we took part in a Burns themed scavenger hunt! ๐ฝ
