Roald Dahl Day – Friday 25th September

This Friday is Roald Dahl Day and to celebrate, we are inviting staff and pupils to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. We are asking children to bring in a £1 donation in aid of ‘Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity’.

Children in Need Fundraising

Late last year, the primary 7 pupils worked very hard raising money for Children in Need. They gathered money by hosting a raffle which gave children the chance to win lots of Pudsey related prizes.

Children across the school also paid £1 to come to school dressed in something spotty.

We raised a total of £219.06. Thank you for all your kind donations!

TOTAL Green School Awards Scottish Champions!

Last year’s P1 and P1/2 classes have been announced as regional champions in TOTAL’s Green School Awards 2013!

The children made a film as part of the Totally Creative category called ‘Aliens from Planet Green land in Aberdeen’. The judges were so impressed by the film and its message about recycling that they named Hanover St Primary the Scottish regional winners! Not only that, but TOTAL also invited Mrs Elrick, Mrs Murray and their pupils to attend the national final in London’s Science Museum!

The children and staff had a fantastic day in London and we are all very proud of their achievements.
