We are learning all about our community and how to stay safe in our local area. Today we went for a walk to see what was in our community and to practise our skills at walking safely and crossing at traffic lights. We found lots of different types of building: shops, schools, churches, houses, flats and a post office and other different features like traffic lights, bus stops and post boxes. We managed to get back to school just before it started raining.
Today we have been revising our sounds: c,k,e,h,r and m and developing our knowledge and understanding of numbers to 10. Look at some of the different ways we have been learning. Click on the link below to view a video of us enjoying numbers and the water tray.

We have had a great first 2 weeks in Primary 1 and have certainly been busy. We have been getting to know each other and our new school environment and routine. We have just started learning the ‘s’ sound and have been learning to form the numbers 0 and 1. Have a look at us in action!
