World of Work Week!

As part of our World of Work week, Lynn came in to tell us all about the job of being a nurse! We learned about the different jobs a nurse does, the skills you need to be a nurse and what school subjects are involved in the different aspects of her job!

Sydney:  “I learned that nurses use the age and weight of their patient to use their maths skills to figure out how much medicine they need.”

Cody: “You have to be kind and helpful to be a nurse!”

Here we are learning how to take the pulse of a patient!

Northern Lights!

We have been learning about Aberdeen by reading the book, Apardion.  It talked about the ‘Merry dancers.’ We learned the song, The Northern lights of old Aberdeen. We also did some Northern Lights artwork with chalk!
