Enterprise

The school has a money and enterprise project every year where the children create Christmas decorations to sell at the school fair.  In the Early Learning Classes, we painted our hands and created snowman families on baubles.  We sold them for £1 each to try and make a profit.  We have sold most of them and have made £41 profit.

Talking Boxes

The children were asked to bring in up to five items of interest to them from home to talk about to the rest of the class (Talking Box).  The purpose of the activity is to build up confidence in speaking to an audience and learning to listen to others.  The other children are invited to ask questions at the end of each talk, developing the children’s questioning skills.  The children were delighted to show their classmates their Talking Boxes and we really appreciate the efforts the parents went to, to help their children create their boxes.  Thank you.

Animals in the Red ELC

The boys and girls in the Red Early Learning Class have been learning about animals.  We have been learning about where animals live and  what they eat.

Dinosaurs

The children in the Green ELC chose to learn about dinosaurs.  We wanted to find out how big a dinosaurs foot is.  It took 26 pairs of our shoes to fill one dinosaur footprint.  It measured 100 centimetres.  Wow, that is big…
