Numbers!

We have been learning all about numbers with a focus on the number 3 as there were 3 bears in the story  of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We went on a number hunt and took photos of all the numbers we could see. We have also been tracing numbers, printing numbers, playing number games, making numbers in playdough and completing a number 3 obstacle course!

In the cloakroom of the Early Years Classes we have a sign with the Nursery Rhyme of the Week, a link to the song and words that you can take home.

Wednesday Wanders

It was great to see so many parents at our first Wednesday Wanders session! Wednesday Wanders is a great chance to stay for half an hour with your children and see the learning and activities they have been doing in the nursery. It also gives you a chance to play games and do crafts with your children in the nursery setting. We look forward to having more parents next Wednesday.

Goldilocks and The Three Bears

Both Early Years Classes have been very busy learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have been learning about sizes: big, medium and small . We have created our own Baby, Mummy and Daddy bears, selecting the correct size of face for our bear.

We have also been learning all about our feelings. We have stamped different emotions and have used picture pegs to show how we are feeling that day.  This is what we said about feelings:

” I feel happy when my Mum gives me a surprise.” Calliope

” I feel tired after playing in the park for a long time.” Tejaswini
