A Novel Idea!

Senior bookworms welcome!

Join us in Room 3.4 every third Thursday lunchtime to read and review our chosen books. Any questions, see Ms O’Donnell.

Grand Masters and learners welcome. Chess Club is open to all pupils. Come and have a go if you think you already have the moves, or are interested in learning the rules and tactics of this absorbing game.

Lights! Camera! Action!

Come along to 3.2 every Friday lunchtime to view a variety of films suggested by club members. Bring your lunch, sit back and enjoy the movies.

Parental consent is required in order to attend, given the age restriction on some of the films. Any questions, see Mr Ashley.

There will be a variety of activities and displays across the school, including:

Design your classroom door in the theme of a novel

Drop everything and read for ten minutes (more if you are lucky!)

Interhouse book quiz

Start your day a novel way – tutorial information about books

Propaganda posters and acrostic poems by 2E.

Relax and colour in with like-minded pupils in Mrs Smith’s room every Friday from 12.40. Bring your lunch and enjoy a wonderfully calm end to your busy week.

Open to all budding writers. Bring your imagination and get creative with other pupils. Share your work and receive feedback in a nurturing environment. This is a weekly group that meets every Monday lunchtime in Room 3.5. See Ms Flynn for more information, or just turn up on the day.
