We have been learning about 2D shapes and have used mirrors to investigate symmetry.

We worked in pairs to test our abilities to use the lines of symmetry to complete a shape. We did this in the school playground with large chalks.

Happy Holidays!

Wow! What a quick term this has been. We have had another busy week this week. In Maths, we have been working on rounding decimal numbers to the nearest whole number and first decimal place. Some of us have also been learning about equivalent fractions too.

Along with other some other classes we went to the school wildlife garden to complete a Mental Maths Easter Egg hunt. Well done to the winning team of Julie, Zoe and Zsuzsanna!

It was great to see so many of our parents and family members at our school open day. A big thank you to you all for coming to see our work in the classroom.

I would like to wish you all a lovely Easter holiday and I look forward to seeing you for our final term of P5! Happy Easter!

Miss Lamberton

Icebergs Ahead!

Although Miss Lamberton enjoyed the Primary 7 ski trip, she is delighted to be back in her Primary 5 class.

We have had another busy week. Our class Titanic is coming on nicely with our cabins now in place- sorry no sneaky peaks until we are finished!

During our ICT lesson we researched interesting facts about icebergs and used this information to design an experiment. Watch this space to see the results of our scientific investigations on next week’s blog post.
