# Broomhill’s Danceathon

A huge well done to everyone for a fantastic danceathon in celebration of Mrs Rohan. A very special day for a very special person.

# Antonyms

Can you guess the pair of Antonyms we are acting out?

# 3D Shapes

We have taken part in many shape activities and challenges. This has helped us to describe the properties of shapes and identify the correct names.

# Should Duthie Park be demolished for a new retail park?

Rudolph Racoon wrote to our class to make us aware of new plans for Duthie Park. His company, Retail Rovers, planned to demolish Duthie Park to make way for a new retail park. Should this happen? We held a class debate to voice our points of view on this matter.

# First Aid Training!

Have a look at our photos from our first aid training course.

# Symmetry

We have been learning about 2D shapes and have used mirrors to investigate symmetry.

We worked in pairs to test our abilities to use the lines of symmetry to complete a shape. We did this in the school playground with large chalks.

# Far do we bide?

To start our Aberdeen topic this term, we looked at where Aberdeen is in relation to the map of the U.K.

# Stop the pollution and be the solution!

This week to celebrate Earth Day we have formed small campaign groups to spread the word that our planet Earth needs looked after and cared for.

We plan to spread the message to our friends in other classes next week.

# Happy Holidays!

Wow! What a quick term this has been. We have had another busy week this week. In Maths, we have been working on rounding decimal numbers to the nearest whole number and first decimal place. Some of us have also been learning about equivalent fractions too.

Along with other some other classes we went to the school wildlife garden to complete a Mental Maths Easter Egg hunt. Well done to the winning team of Julie, Zoe and Zsuzsanna!

It was great to see so many of our parents and family members at our school open day. A big thank you to you all for coming to see our work in the classroom.

I would like to wish you all a lovely Easter holiday and I look forward to seeing you for our final term of P5! Happy Easter!
