Caterpillar update

Fruity Friday: please remember to bring a piece of fruit for your snack each Friday.

The caterpillars have now attached themselves to the lid of their home and some of them have started to turn into a chrysalis.

In maths this week we have been learning how to break down a number into hundreds, tens and units. We had fun playing team games to learn this skill.

We used Word Art and Clip Art to design mini beast bookmarks during our ICT time.

Caterpillar Crazy

This week some new arrivals joined Primary 2, Room 10. Meet Milly, Billy, Amy, Alvin and Wriggles. We have been watching them grow and researching some fun facts about caterpillars.

We took Primary 2/3 on a mini beast hunt in the Woodies. We enjoyed sharing the facts we have learned with them. We completed charts to investigate what kind of habitats mini beasts live in.

Art Activities

Please note that Mrs McIntosh will no longer be teaching our class due to staffing issues.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been working hard to improve our artistic and fine motor skills. As part of our learning in RME we have been learning about different Hindu traditions. We took inspiration from mehndi patterns to create our own hand designs.

We have also been learning how to quill. We found it quite tricky to begin with but now we are really quick at rolling the coils. We made different mini beasts using this technique.
