Each week the pupils are set CLIC targets which we explore together. These help with the children\u2019s core numeracy skills. Each letter stands for one of the elements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong>\u2013 Counting<\/p>\n<p><strong>L<\/strong>\u2013 Learn Its<\/p>\n<p><strong>I<\/strong>\u2013 It\u2019s Nothing New<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong>\u2013 Calculations<\/p>\n<p>This week we are continuing our targets from our short week last week:<\/p>\n<p><strong>C-\u00a0<\/strong>Saying Numbers<b>\u2013\u00a0<\/b>I can count to 100.<\/p>\n<p><em>Remember to:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Take care when moving to the next multiple of 10.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>L<\/strong>\u2013 Number bonds to 10.\u00a0 ( For example, 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6, 5+5).<\/p>\n<p><strong>I<\/strong>\u2013 Doubling and Halving:\u00a0I can double 1 digit numbers. \u2018Double 4 is 8\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>Remember to: learn that double\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>1 is 2<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 is 4<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>3 is 6<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>4 is 8<\/em><\/li>\n<li>5 is 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong>\u2013<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I can add numbers of objects to 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remember to:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Find out how many there are in the larger group<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Count on from the larger group<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Count on each one carefully<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supporting your child at home these targets would be very beneficial and hugely appreciated.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; At Abbotswell we use the Big Maths scheme.
