Please send the children to school dressed appropriately for the weather.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On Tuesday this week the P1 children have their dental inspections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ac\/public\/2018abbotswellp1c\/uploads\/sites\/7172\/2018\/08\/Phonics-300x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"70\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Letter Sounds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week we move on to the digraphs (2 letter sounds), as we have now completed all the single initial sounds. These are a little trickier for the children to learn and remember as they are often in the middle of words rather than at the start.\u00a0 Our letter sounds this week are<strong> qu<\/strong>\u00a0and<strong> ai<\/strong>.\u00a0Letter<strong> qu<\/strong>\u00a0homework should be completed for <strong>Wednesday<\/strong> and letter<strong> ai<\/strong>\u00a0homework should be completed by <strong>Friday<\/strong>.
