Letter Sounds

This week our letter sounds are j and z. Letter j homework should be completed for Wednesday and letter z homework should be completed by Friday.

Common Words

The children now have the second word wall with the second set of common words in their white book. This can be used to revise the common words at home so the children learn them as sight vocabulary. Words for this week are if and of. Please complete the common word homework for Thursday. You may need to help your child to write the number after counting the words together. They can also try to write the words.

Reading

Reading this week will be on Monday and Thursday. Don’t forget to check the word pot for new words with each new set of books. These can be used for matching to the words in the reading books, and recognising and reading when the children are able.
