Week beginning 5.6.17

This Wednesday 7th May at 10am, we will be having out Sports Day in the playing fields. We would like to extend an invitation to you as parents/carers to join us.

In maths we will be continuing with the new concept of subtraction.  We will also be identifying coins and counting with money.

The children will continue doing a lot of word building activities and making CVC and CVCC words this week.

They will also be introduced to their new sound – ou

We will continue with our new spelling homework which comes home each Monday and should be returned by Friday. Please practise these words with your child throughout the week so they are prepared for their Check-Up each Friday. Please look out for how your child did in their spelling test last Friday – it can be found at the back of their new yellow books.

This Wednesday 31st May at 1.30pm, we will be leading the school assembly to share our learning. We would like to extend an invitation to you as parents/carers to join us. Please remember that due to limited space, we can only accommodate 2 visitors per child.

Due to rehearsals for our assembly, there will be no new reading book coming home on Wednesday.

In maths we will be finishing our work on numbers to 20 and beginning practical subtraction.  We will also be continuing identifying coins and counting with money.

On Tuesday afternoon we will be visiting Kincorth Library for our monthly session.  If you are free to join us as an adult helper between 2pm-3pm, please let myself or Mrs Gilmore know- thank you.

Week beginning 15.05.17

This is our whole school ‘Engineer’n’Our Lives‘ week where we will have lots of visitors and workshops centred around the theme of engineering.  Look out for lots of photos in the next few days.

Due to timetable changes this week, new reading books will go home on Tuesday and Friday.  We will return to normal next week.

Week Beginning 24.04.17
