Week beginning Monday 4th November 2019

We are going up to Kincorth Library on Tuesday morning this week to change our books.

P1

This week we are revising our second six letter sounds c/k, e, h, r, m, d. For homework  you can help your child to make small 2, 3 or 4 letter words using all the letters in the envelope at the front of the pink book. You can use the first six sounds too. Please write any you make on the homework page. e.g. hat, red, man etc. Please complete this homework for Friday.

P2

This week our sound is ar.  The children will get 6 words with the ar pattern and 2 common words to learn for homework. Please write each word twice in the homework book and complete for Thursday. Spelling test will be on Friday.

P1

The P1 children will be introduced to two new common words which can be reinforced at home by completing the common word homework for Thursday. Words for this week are his and her. You may need to help your child writing the number after counting the words together. Please now write each word 2 times.

P2

P2 common words will be the last 2 words on the spelling list each week. This week our words are are and all.

Topic

Thank you for all the baby photos. The children have had fun guessing who they are and seeing how everyone looked as a baby. I will send them home in book bags now. We have been looking at examples of old toys and finding out what they are made of, then comparing these to new toys and what they are made of. The children have also been sorting pictures of old and new toys.
