A HUGE well done to all the boys and girls who took part in our sponsored walk to Duthie Park/Cromwell Road playpark.

Thank you so much to the parents who came to accompany classes. Your help, as always, is invaluable and much appreciated!

Please start to collect in your sponsor money so that we can contribute to the re building of our sister Sacred Heart school in the Congo.

Primary 7 pupils taking part in the bike training will need to have their bikes in school on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd April. Please also remember to bring your helmet, padlock and suitable outdoor waterproof clothing.

Bikes should be taking home  each evening, unless you have spoken to a member of the SMT.

Please ensure no bikes are left over the Easter holidays as we cannot ensure their safety.

Thursday 3rd April

Morning sponsored walk

We will be having a sponsored walk to Duthie Park (P2-7) to help raise money for one of our sister Sacred Heart schools, which was recently burnt down in the Congo.

We have done this before and it is a very energetic and effective way to raise money for a worthy cause.

We will need parent volunteers to accompany us on the walk, so if you are free please either return the form sent home or send us a comment at the bottom of this page.

Primary One classes

P1F , P1Ha and P1He will be walking to the playpark on Cromwell Road, via Harlaw playing fields, a slightly more manageable walk for little legs. Parent helpers will be needed also.

Nursery

The nursery will be having a Teddy Toddle and picnic snack at Duthie Park. Please check out the nursery blog and the letter which will be sent home shortly.

ROBERT BURNS WORLD FEDERATION

We went to Cults Academy to perform a poem by Robert Burns called Tam O’Shanter.  Each one of us, Connor, Scarlet, Hannah and Jocelyn all took part in an individual performance.
In class we have been working on this particular poem.  We did lots of different and enjoyable activities to do with Tam O’Shanter such as: drama exercises; our own summary of Tam O’Shanter; peer discussions and narrative genre.  Then when Mrs Rogerson said there was a Robert Burns competition we were very excited to start practicing for it.  We practiced a lot with our teacher and at home and we managed to learn 20 lines of the very tricky poem Tam O’Shanter.
When the big day arrived everyone was so nervous to perform but we all did really well and everybody enjoyed the experience. Once we had all finished performing there was a prize giving assembly where sadly we did not win a prize but we all received a certificate to remember our amazing achievement.
