St Andrew’s Day

To celebrate St Andrew’s Day P3A were wearing something tartan and designed their own tartan kilts.

We were also learning some Scots in the form of ‘The Broons’ with Mrs Reid.

To show off our amazing dancing skills, P3A joined the P4’s for a ‘Touch of Tartan’ celebration performing the Military Two Step and the Gay Gordon. We all had a great time 😀

This week was also National Book Week Scotland. P3A got really excited as we were going to be the first class in Skene Square to have a Glow Meet with another school! This meant we would be meeting another class online where we could share and talk about our favourite books. It was a lot of fun and was great to meet another class. P3A found it really interesting and we are hoping to meet the P4 class again soon!

Thanks Mrs Reid!

Mrs Reid (Jack’s mum) joined us this afternoon! It was lovely to have Mrs Reid in the class helping out and we look forward to having her with us again soon! P3A had great fun creating deserts and attempting to read doric poems with Mrs Reid.

Road Safety!

Following from an assembly by the P5s, P3A were keen to learn more about road safety! We discussed good road safety practice and then put on our high visibility vests before heading up to the conference room to act out everything we had learned.

P3A also created Road Safety Rules posters for a display.

I hope the class are all being very safe crossing roads especially on these dark mornings and evenings!

Anti-Bullying Week

P3A Were supporting anti-bullying week by thinking lots about what made a good friend. The class read ‘Thanks for Being My Friend’ By Peter Bently as inspiration for their recipes for a good friend. In order to support and raise awareness for Children in Need we held a spots competition – the winner was Alicia!

Shape Challenge

P3A are currently learning all about shape and this week we started talking about 3D shapes! The class were asked to bring in junk for a contruction challenge.

Look at us working hard at our construction challenge using some problem solving!

The Rainforest!

The class have been learning all about the rainforest! We have discovered there are four layers in the rainforest and now know each layer’s name!

This week we have been reseaching three different animals found in the rainforest. We have discussed elephants, chameleons and toucans, and created our own drawings of them!
