We have been learning about children’s rights and respecting the rights of others.

We explored the way in which we use and need rules.  We considered the meaning of rights and responsibilities and discussed those relevant to us.

We created a class charter, so we have a happy and safe classroom.

It states:

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
• Follow instructions
• Treat others with respect

Everyone signed the charter.  The children are learning to make appropriate choices.  Positive behaviour is encouraged and the children are being made aware that they are responsible for their own behaviour.
