This term P3 planted sunflower seeds and have been investigating how various factors including light and soil affect plant growth. The children have been looking after their sunflowers by watering them daily. We have been measuring and recording plant growth in the form of tally marks and pictograms.
Chinese New Year
Primary 3 have been learning about the Chinese New Year with Mrs Laing. The children were very proud of the pellet drums that they made! Pellet drums are used during Chinese festivals and celebrations, as well as a toy for children. Why not ask your child how they made their drum?

Term 3 – Living things
Happy new year everyone! This is an exciting term as we will be learning about living things. So far primary three have been very enthusiastic as they began to research animals that live in woodland areas. The children all made fact files on either a fox, squirrel or hedgehog. Ask your child which animal they researched and what they found out.
