We are looking forward to starting a new  geography based project all about ‘ A sense of place’.

We will be reading the’ Scaredy Squirrel’ stories and making our own plans and maps and then we will be learning all about life on the ‘Isle of Struay’ where Katie Morag lives with her family. We will be map making and finding out about island life.

We had a very busy term learning all about owls and other nocturnal creatures.

We looked at what owls eat, some owl pellets helped us find out more about this.

We also had the chance to look at a real owl close up.

We have been working on a context for learning over the last few weeks. This has taken us into the world of the Gruffalo, where we have been meeting some of the characters and finding out about their homes.
