1. Write your name, number, the date and the title –

Using Connectives as Openers.

2. Use these connectives (a connective is a word or phrase that joins two phrases or small sentences to make a longer sentence) as sentence openers to write five interesting sentences:

however, in addition to, despite, even though, nevertheless

3. Write another five sentences using five different connectives as openers. Leave a blank line between each sentence that you write. You are NOT writing a story.      To be completed by and brought in to school on Monday 8^th October
