{"id":224,"date":"2023-05-09T08:39:04","date_gmt":"2023-05-09T07:39:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ac\/2022abbotswellp12\/?p=224"},"modified":"2023-05-09T11:52:13","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T10:52:13","slug":"term-4-clic-targets-p2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ac\/2022abbotswellp12\/2023\/05\/09\/term-4-clic-targets-p2\/","title":{"rendered":"Term 4 CLIC Targets &#8211; P2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-290 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ac\/public\/abbotswellprimary1202122\/uploads\/sites\/7269\/2022\/05\/06141354\/Big-Maths-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"157\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As part of our Big Maths scheme in school we do CLIC sessions for core numeracy.\u00a0 Each letter stands for an area of numeracy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C \u2013 Counting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>L \u2013 Learn Its (these are number facts which we learn so they can be quickly recalled without needing to work out the answer).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I \u2013 It\u2019s Nothing New<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>C \u2013 Calculations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These are the topics we will be covering in term 4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Counting <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saying and reading numbers within 100 and above if able.<\/p>\n<p>CORE number to 10 (showing good understanding by comparing, ordering, estimating and doing number stories)<\/p>\n<p>Squiggleworth &#8211; partition a 2 digit number e.g. split 62 into 60 and 2<\/p>\n<p>Counting multiples of 10, 5 and 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learn Its<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Number bonds to 10.\u00a0 \u00a0 1+9\u00a0 2+8\u00a0 3+7\u00a0 4+6\u00a0 5+5<\/p>\n<p>The doubles from 1-9.<\/p>\n<p>Adding on 2.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a04+2\u00a0 5+2\u00a0 6+2\u00a0 7+2\u00a0 9+2<\/p>\n<p>Adding on 3.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a04+3\u00a0 5+3\u00a0 6+3<\/p>\n<p>Saying the multiples of 10, 5 and 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s Nothing New<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jigsaw numbers to 10. Knowing the missing number to make 10. e.g. the jigsaw number for 3 is 7 etc.<\/p>\n<p>Doubling single digit numbers. Halving these answers.<\/p>\n<p>Doubling 2 digit multiples of 10. Halving these answers.<\/p>\n<p>Fact Families\u00a0 for 1 digit + 1 digit numbers<\/p>\n<p>e.g. 3+4=7\u00a0 \u00a0 4+3=7\u00a0 \u00a0 7-3=4\u00a0 \u00a0 7-4=3<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calculations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Addition<\/p>\n<p>Subtraction<\/p>\n<p>Multiplication &#8211; grouping sets and counting the total<\/p>\n<p>Division &#8211; sharing into 2, 3 or 4 equal groups, grouping into sets<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>These resources can be used to reinforce our CLIC targets at home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2 Times Table Song (Cover of Can\u2019t Stop The Feeling!
