P1/2 enjoyed their sooyang do session in the gym, as part of our mental health awareness week activities.

Well done to Dulciee, our latest pupil of the week. She has been motivated, enthusiastic and has shown great enjoyment in all our mental health week activities.

We had a mindfulness/yoga session with Serena from Relax Kids.

P1 and P1/2 joined together for a hula hoop challenge. The children had to move the hoop around the circle while holding hands.

P1/2 enjoyed our hip hop/street dance session.

We had a visit of Leo the therapet to our class for mental health awareness week. The children enjoyed meeting him.

Well done to Anjola, our latest pupil of the week. He has been showing great effort with looking after our classroom and tidying away our new play equipment.

Next week Abbotswell School will be taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week and throughout the week, we will be enjoying a range of activities to promote the importance of looking after our mental health.

Monday – class visit from Leo, the therapet dog.

Tuesday – Rhythm Dance Nation (street dance/hip hop) session in the gym. Relax Kids mindfulness session with Serena.

Wednesday – Healthy Eating workshop and mindfulness drawing/colouring.

Thursday – Karaoke sing along with Mr Smith.

Friday – Sooyang Do session in the gym.

As a school, we are having a Dress to Express Day on Friday 10^th February 2023. We would like to invite all children and staff to come to school that day dressed in a way which expresses something about themselves.  It could be as simple as wearing a favourite colour, a favourite outfit or maybe something connected with a favourite hobby or interest.  It might even be designing something or coming in fancy dress! We can’t wait to see everyone dressing to express – be proud of who you are!
