Star of the Week

Congratulations to Lacey-Lee for being chosen as our Pupil of the Week. Lacey-Lee won the certificate this week for always trying her very best and for consistently demonstrating a positive attitude. Well done Lacey-Lee! We are very proud of you!

Duthie Park Visit

Primary 3/4 had a wonderful visit to Duthie Park today. Thank you to our parent volunteers for coming along! We worked in two groups, looking at a real beehive and planting bee-friendly seeds. After all our hard work, we managed a visit to the playground.

Pupil of the Week

Our congratulations go to Megan who was chosen to be the star for last week! Megan worked very hard to complete an accurate and beautifully illustrated menu in French. She planned her food/drinks for breakfast, lunch and supper and drew attractive pictures for each meal. Way to go Megan!

Sports Day

We are all looking forward to our Sports Day on Wednesday 23rd May! Like last year, the children will be split into their year groups for their races. As we are a composite P3/4 class this year, it means that our Sports Day timings will be as follows:

Primary 3 – 10am

Primary 4 – 1:30pm

We will make sure that the children are involved in each other’s Sports Day and will give them the opportunity to spectate and encourage their classmates! Fingers crossed for sunshine!!

CLIC Targets

Here are the targets we are currently working on for our daily Big Maths CLIC sessions:

C- I can count in fifths

L – I can say the multiples of the 6 x table

I – I can complete a 1, 2, 5, 10 coin card.

C – I can solve a 3 digit + 2 digit question.

Term 4

It’s hard to believe we have reached Term 4 already but we are looking forward to a very busy and exciting Term ahead! In the last couple of weeks, the children have started outdoor learning sessions on a Monday afternoon with Mr Miller which they are thoroughly enjoying. They have also been having lots of fun taking part in some additional PE and fitness sessions with a few of the RGU students on a Tuesday afternoon.

Our Term 4 Topic!

We have decided along with the children that our topic for the final term is going to be France. The children have  been making great progress with the French we have been learning in class and are keen to find out more about France as a country. We are looking forward to exploring many areas of interest such as famous French landmarks, foods and culture. We will be leading a class assembly on France later this term.

Congratulations to our first two Pupils of the Week for Term 4 – Franek and Daniel! Franek received his award for making huge improvements in his understanding of Time work in maths. Great job Franek! We are proud of you for working so hard on this! Daniel was delighted to receive his certificate on Friday for listening well and trying hard to work independently on his tasks. Well done Daniel! Keep up the great work!

The whole school was a sea of colour today as we dressed in our brightest clothes and had lots of Easter fun in memory of Mrs Murray. We enjoyed taking part in egg decorating, egg rolling, Easter colouring competitions and we even had a visit from the Easter Bunny!! Congratulations to Ruby who won the Egg Decorating Prize for our class and also to Abira who won the Easter Colouring Competition! We also had a few lucky raffle prize winners too! Thanks to all the kind donations we have raised lots of money to put towards our playground friendship benches fund!

Pupil of the Week

Congratulations to India on being our Pupil of the Week! India has been telling time on analogue and digital clocks with super accuracy. She knows how to read time to the quarter hour and it is lovely to see her so confident with her Maths work! Way to go India!
