There are spaces available on this year’s GLPS course.
The training programme is held at Stirling Court Hotel and is centrally funded.
Those who have undertaken the GLPS training in the past are full of praise for the tools and confidence it has given them to deliver Gaelic Language Learning in their settings. The closing date for the participants to put their name forward via their Headteacher is Friday 9th September 2016

Kodu 6 Week Teaching Pack
Kodu is a game application developed by Microsoft to introduce young people to computer games design. The visual programming language allows students to design and build 3 dimensional games. Kodu helps young people to learn the core concepts of computer science through a project approach which includes narrative writing, design and maths.

Argyll and Bute School Staff Receive a Professional Development Award
On the 21st June 2016, 22 Classroom and Additional Support Needs Assistants received certificates for the SQA Professional Development Award (PDA) in Education Support Assistance in a ceremony held in the Loch Fyne Hotel, Inveraray.
Roslyn Redpath, Principal Educational Psychologist, presented the certificates on behalf of Argyll and Bute Council and congratulated the candidates on their hard work and commitment.

Better Movers and Thinkers short videos and lesson planning
Better Movers and Thinkers approach to learning and teaching in PE can be found HERE and highlights the use of scaffolding practices to help develop performance. The scaffolding practices are demonstrated in a series of short videos featuring learners from both the primary and secondary school sectors. The resource also provides exemplars of lesson planning using the BMT approach.
