About the tutor: Rick Instrell is a founder member of AMES (Association for
\nMedia Education in Scotland, www.mediaedscotland.org.uk) and co-wrote
\nthe original SQA Media Studies arrangements. He has taught media & film
\nstudies at school and university levels and is a reguler contibutor to AMES\u2019
\n\u2018Media Education Journal\u2019. He runs a CPD and consultancy business (Deep
\nLearning, www.deep-learning.co.uk) and has acted as a consultant on media
\nprojects for Channel 4 and Film Nation UK. He is an associate of the National
