Our feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with more than a few teachers suggesting it is the \u2018best course in (12) years of teaching\u2019 and more.<\/p>\n<p>I am accredited by GTCS, and teachers completing the long term courses will be recommended for Professional Recognition. These courses all support CfE, Learning for Sustainability and GTCS professional standards, which require every teacher to be leading outdoor learning on a regular and progressive basis.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The following long term courses are typically hosted by local authorities and are available for the 2015-16 session:<\/p>\n<p>Lead Teacher in Outdoor Learning<br \/>\n\u2022 Equips teachers to plan and deliver regular outdoor learning in school grounds, as well as engage with colleagues to plan collaboratively and train others.<\/p>\n<p>Teaching in Nature<br \/>\n\u2022 Supports staff to really understand how we use nature as a rich learning environment and plan experiences that are embedded in the curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Outdoor Journeys<br \/>\n\u2022 An enquiry based learning experience for pupils, engaging them with local environments and equipping teachers to make use of simple, sustainable learning tools.<\/p>\n<p>Nurturing in Nature<br \/>\n\u2022 An Early Years, outdoor play-led, family opportunity for nurseries, children and their parents, supporting attachment and wider health and wellbeing benefits.<\/p>\n<p>All the above courses can be run with up to 16 participants, and usually involve a development officer to support the ongoing work and opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit http:\/\/ow.ly\/LxHNl<\/p>\n<p>We are also running one of our famous school playground tours shortly \u2013 come and be inspired as to how play can transform your pupils\u2019 learning.
