During Fair Trade Fortnight we found out what Fair Trade means and the advantages to farmers. We learned about banana farmers and all the process it takes for the bananas to reach our shops. We designed fair trade wrappers, made banana splits and ate fair trade chocolate.
Through exploring ethical trading, I can understand how people’s basic needs are the same around the world, discussing why some societies are more able to meet these needs than others. Curriculum for Excellence SOC 2-20a
