Following the successful Pantomime, Nativity and Christmas Disco, we are now selling photos from the three events. There will be a letter coming home from school with the password to access the video below. Simply note down the image number and size you require on the order form and we’ll do the rest. 100% of profits go to school funds. Enjoy the show!
After several cancellations, the Port Ellen Sports Day finally went ahead! The races were hotly contested from start to finish, with Texa finally coming out overall winners. Well done to Sophie for winning the Girls Championship and Struan and Ruaraidh jointly claiming the boys title. Many thanks to Donnie MacDonald, a past Championship winner, for presenting the prizes. Take a look at the slideshow below!
On Monday, 13th March Mrs Bermingham came in to talk to us about keeping our teeth healthy and cleaning them properly. She talked about all of the good and bad bacteria in our mouths and why it’s important to eat healthy snacks. She also told us that we need to “spit, not rinse!” and Spitty Monkey squirted water at us! She also gave us a Healthy Snack reward chart to make sure we are bringing healthy snacks into school.

Our Burns celebrations were a fantastic affair filled with dancing, music and poems. There was a great turn out from the local community – many thanks to our judges and Nigel Morris. Well done to the children for dancing so enthusiastically and performing so well!
After the fantastic Nativity performance, we are selling a range of prints. There are also some group photos from the Christmas Disco. Please refer to your letter from the school for how to order. Enjoy!
In P1-3 we created some poppy pictures to remember the soldiers that died in World War I. Each poppy on our pictures showed one of the people who died who were from Islay. It was good fun using PowerPoint copying and pasting the poppies onto the pictures.
