We have a variety of ways to allow all our pupils to lead their own learning at Port Charlotte. The younger pupils take part in Plan, Do, Review where they are able to choose an activity to do and reflect on this with their teacher when it is complete.
Pupils then move on to their own ICC – Investigate, Create and Communicate project. This involves choosing a subject and investigating it over a longer period and then presenting their learning to an audience. This can include peers and parents and friends of the school.
As the children progress through the school they have the opportunity to do an Endeavour Project. This is a more ambitious project where pupils spend some months researching new learning and presenting this in a variety of ways. Again this can be shared with peers, parents and friends of the school.
Here are our P4-7 pupils sharing their ‘ICC’ projects with the staff and P1-3 pupils.
