Den Building

We travelled to Keills to the Lilly loch to build a den. We started to make a wee den and then we went to go and find more sticks. Then we found a knocked down tree. We asked Mrs Mclellan if we could build the den up at the knocked down tree and she said yes. So we started to move all of the big sticks from our small den up to our big den and the whole school could fit in it.

We loved building the dens at the Lilly loch and we had so much fun.

Den Building

We went to the lily loch to have our packed lunch. After we had our lunch we went to the forest and we were building a den but it was too small so we went scavenging to find a new den to start on. We found loads of sticks and we started piling them up and putting on the moss to cover it all. Then we saw how many people could fit inside it. Donald put a tree on top of the den, then we started heading to the bus and went back to school.

Themed Lunch

When we have themed lunches we have lunch and it is themed on something. For example we have done medieval lunch, pirate lunch, bee lunch and lots of other ones. Me and Marita’s favourite lunch was the Themed pirate lunch. We did a pirate lunch because are Panto is called the pirates of the curry bean. We had fish and boat oranges and they had jelly inside them. They were REALLY good!!!!! On the medieval lunch we had chicken and lots of different types of medieval foods. The bee lunch was really nice and all the tables where yellow. Most things that we ate where yellow and really good!! I think the themed lunches are really really fun!!!!!! especially when we all get to go to lunch together.

Clans!

Clans

Hello it’s Ruby and Annika and we will be telling you about clans, every week we always change activities. The clans are Saligo, Claddach, Ardnave and Machir.

Last month we were making:

Shell candles, dens, wild life centre to make glass art and leaf art

Dens: We made dens in the wild life garden and all we had was a tent sheet some pegs and some string. It was hard making it but some clans had some help with the treehouse.

Glass art: We went to the wild life centre with Mrs Gillies and we made art with glue, glass, butter lids and pottery. When we finished we would peel the glue off and then …ta da glass art.

Shell candles: We used shells.  We put in a wick and wax and that was fun but quick. While we were waiting we did Just Dance (you have to follow dance moves).

Leaf art: we made leaf art with Mrs Wiggins we had quite a big bit of cardboard and we had bits of tree trunk, leaves and all kinds of flowers. It took quite a while to make.
