Kodu is a visual programming language made specifically for creating games. It is designed to be accessible for children and enjoyable for anyone. The visual nature of the language allows for rapid design iteration using only an Xbox game controller for
input (mouse/keyboard input is also supported). The visual programming language allows students to design and build 3 dimensional games. Kodu helps young people to learn the core concepts of computer science through a project approach which includes narrative writing, design and maths.
At Argyll and Bute Council we have been putting together a 6 Week Kodu Teaching Pack which will help you teach Kodu in the classroom. This pack will include a lesson plan and also an weekly outline and can be found at the link below.
