Money, Time, Bugs and Elephants!

This week Primary 1 have been learning how to make 10p using 1p, 2p and 5p coins. We have also been learning to tell the time using digital and analogue clocks.

Our sounds of the week have been sh and ch. We had lots of fun finding things that begin with these 2 sounds and drawing pictures in our sound books.

This week when writing our news we had to write 2 sentences using a connective.

In art we were learning how to mix white and black paint to make different shades of grey, we then used the greys to paint an elephant.

In outdoor learning we have been learning about Biodiversity and we had a walk around the school grounds looking closely at the pond, wild meadow, Forget me Not woods and the banking.

P1 share their learning

This week Primary One have been busy rehearsing for our class assembly. We have been learning our lines and practising our song and dance. On Thursday we had a rehearsal in front of our P7 buddies.

On Friday we got to share what we have been learning in this terms IDL – Handa’s Surprise, with our families and the rest of the school. Thank you to everyone who came to watch and those who were unable can see pictures and videos on our school Twitter account.
