Support for learning is a responsibility shared by all staff, and we work closely with children, families and partners to ensure every learner feels safe, included and successful.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"rai52t\" data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"534\">Getting to Know Every Child<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"698\">Each child is supported by a key adult\u2014usually their class teacher\u2014who knows them well and takes a strong interest in their wellbeing, progress and achievements.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"700\" data-end=\"880\">We believe that positive relationships are at the heart of effective support, and children are encouraged to share their views, set goals and take an active role in their learning.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"n9cmmw\" data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"911\">How We Support Children<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1043\">All children are entitled to support in school. Most needs are met through high-quality teaching and everyday classroom practice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1270\">Where needed, additional support is provided using Argyll and Bute\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1114\" data-end=\"1147\">Staged Intervention Framework<\/strong>, in line with the national <strong data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1220\">Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC)<\/strong> approach.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1301\">This ensures that support is:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1421\">\n<li data-section-id=\"13z77fi\" data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1322\">Identified early<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"wotcxb\" data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1355\">Tailored to individual needs<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1sn0kho\" data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1378\">Reviewed regularly<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"b9r591\" data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1421\">Delivered in partnership with families<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1aai0ud\" data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1446\">Levels of Support<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1522\">Support is flexible and can change over time depending on a child\u2019s needs:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1566\"><strong data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1564\">Universal Support (for all children)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1687\">\n<li data-section-id=\"8xbreq\" data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1605\">High-quality learning and teaching<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"f19d37\" data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1651\">Regular opportunities to discuss progress<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"m5gcoj\" data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1687\">Ongoing assessment and tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1721\"><strong data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1719\">Stage 1 \u2013 In-Class Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1825\">\n<li data-section-id=\"m27lm0\" data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1763\">Small adjustments made by the teacher<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lvv6yo\" data-start=\"1764\" data-end=\"1825\">Extra support or targeted strategies within the classroom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1859\"><strong data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1857\">Stage 2 \u2013 Targeted Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"2018\">\n<li data-section-id=\"mzi9w1\" data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1901\">Additional planning and interventions<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"11ue7de\" data-start=\"1902\" data-end=\"1947\">Small group work or individual programmes<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"xpiejj\" data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"2018\">A Child\u2019s Plan may be created with clear targets and review points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2020\" data-end=\"2054\"><strong data-start=\"2020\" data-end=\"2052\">Stage 3 \u2013 Specialist Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2055\" data-end=\"2243\">\n<li data-section-id=\"sooifo\" data-start=\"2055\" data-end=\"2100\">More personalised support and adaptations<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"7w9ys2\" data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2163\">Involvement of specialist services or multi-agency support<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1lp7c3h\" data-start=\"2164\" data-end=\"2243\">A detailed Child\u2019s Plan and, where appropriate, a Co-ordinated Support Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1f5nuj0\" data-start=\"2245\" data-end=\"2273\">Working in Partnership<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2274\" data-end=\"2403\">We value strong partnerships with parents and carers. You know your child best, and your views are central to planning support.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2405\" data-end=\"2596\">If you have any concerns about your child\u2019s learning or wellbeing, please contact the school. The Head Teacher will work with you and relevant staff to ensure appropriate support is in place.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2598\" data-end=\"2701\">Where needed, we may also work with other agencies to provide the best possible support for your child.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"v2j5x\" data-start=\"2703\" data-end=\"2739\">Planning and Reviewing Support<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2740\" data-end=\"2825\">When additional support is required, we may create a <strong data-start=\"2793\" data-end=\"2809\">Child\u2019s Plan<\/strong>.
