We know that everyone has rights and that we must respect the rights of others too. We talk about fairness, kindness and inclusion, and we work together to make our school a happy and safe place for everyone.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s rights are based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)<\/strong>. These rights ensure that all children are safe, healthy, respected and able to learn and achieve.<\/p>\n In our school, we help children understand their rights and how these link to their everyday experiences in school and beyond.<\/p>\n Children at Bowmore don\u2019t just learn about their rights\u2014they live them. Across the school, children:<\/p>\n We encourage children to use the language of rights to talk about fairness, inclusion and respect.<\/p>\n Our approach is rooted in the values of:<\/p>\n These values help create a positive, nurturing environment where everyone feels safe and ready to learn.<\/p>\n Children learn about rights through:<\/p>\n We support children to understand that with rights come responsibilities, and we encourage them to take action to make a positive difference.<\/p>\n Pupil voice is central to our school. Children are encouraged to share their ideas, take leadership roles and be active participants in improving our school and community.<\/p>\n Our pupil groups play a key role in leading change, raising awareness and supporting others both locally and globally.<\/p>\n We work closely with families and the wider community to promote children\u2019s rights.
