Sgoil-\u00e0raich is our Gaelic nursery, based within the Gaelic Early Learning and Childcare class in the modular unit at the opposite end of the school.<\/p>\n

We provide a warm, nurturing environment where children learn through play, relationships and rich experiences in Gaelic.<\/p>\n

At Sgoil-\u00e0raich, children begin to hear and use Gaelic naturally through play, routines and daily interactions. Here are some words and phrases we use every day:<\/p>\n

    Children quickly become familiar with these phrases and begin to use them with confidence as part of everyday learning.<\/p>\n

    You and your child are very welcome to visit our ELC by appointment.<\/p>\n

    Please contact the school by telephone or email to arrange a suitable time and date.<\/p>\n

    \ud83c\udf08Enrolment<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Enrolment dates are shared through local communication and school updates.<\/p>\n

    Children are eligible for up to 5 sessions<\/strong>, and families will be informed in writing once a place has been allocated.<\/p>\n

    \ud83e\udd1dStarting with Us<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Starting nursery is an important step, and we support this through a gentle, nurturing transition.<\/p>\n

    Families are invited to meet staff, share information about their child and take part in a planned induction process. Children attend with support as needed until they feel confident and settled.<\/p>\n

    Children\u2019s learning is shared with families through Seesaw<\/strong>, our online learning platform.<\/p>\n

    \u23f0Our Day<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Monday to Friday<\/strong>
    9.05am \u2013 3.05pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our days include a balance of play, outdoor learning, stories, creativity and opportunities to develop language through Gaelic.<\/p>\n

    \ud83c\udf4eHealth and Wellbeing<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Health and wellbeing are at the heart of our ELC experience.<\/p>\n

    Children have access to milk, a healthy snack and, where eligible, a funded nursery lunch. Our meals are nutritious and designed to support growing, active learners.<\/p>\n

    \ud83c\udf31Additional Year of ELC<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Some families may wish to consider an additional year of Early Learning and Childcare before starting Primary 1.<\/p>\n

    Staff will support you in making the best decision for your child, in line with GIRFEC principles.<\/p>\n
