A few weeks ago P6/7 went to the American Monument to carry on their learning about WW1. We looked down where the Tuscania sunk and most of the locals helped rescue most of the survivors.
The Tuscania had 2’235 people on board but only 267 went missing. The next couple of days was a horrific sight to see the soldiers dead bodies washed up on the shore line. Some of the Tuscania survivors died from illnesses from their wet clothes. The Tuscania was torpedoed by at German U-boat.
Interviews!
Ashvin: It was really fun to go there!
Liam: It was good because we got to see in person!
As part of our human body topic we have been learning about the eye so we decided to see a cows eye getting disected. Then traveled to the dissecting room. In the dissecting room we saw Mrs McNaughtan dissect an eye ball …
Mrs McNaughtan loved that we were asking loads of questions and we loved watching the eye being disected. We all had a lovely time.
