\"\"<\/a>Lochdonhead Primary School has been very successful recently in two national competitions.
\nIn June we were told that we were the winners of the Total Green School Award run by the Young People\u2019s Trust. In our entry we recorded and reported all the work we have done over the year to improve our school grounds. The results were reported as \u2018excellent and the judges were all extremely impressed\u2019. Almost 44,500 children took part in the Award for 2013 which emphasises the scale of our achievement. We were given a certificate and a cheque for \u00a3500.
\nLast session we took part in the Sky Rainforest Rescue School Challenge, creating a school team called the Lightning Swans. This engaged pupils, parents, school and community working together on a sustainability and environmental project. In July we heard that we were the Scottish winners and we have won \u00a3500. Laura Bosworth, who contacted us to tell us this fantastic news wrote, \u2018The judges were hugely impressed by the Lightning Swans\u2019 fantastic work over the past months especially the high level of understanding and engagement demonstrated by the team.\u2019
\nWe have formed a company called LCC (Lochdonhead Caf\u00e9 Crafts) and we shall make democratic decisions regarding how the money will be used.
